Hello. I have two projects that I would like to develop into comic miniseries with a partner. Both are slightly sci-fi, but are mostly focused on dystopias and how these environments turn good people into bad ones.
The one miniseries is set in a world that is mostly a desert and is post-apocalyptic with a twist. There are gods, machines, immortals and children in creepy orphanages. I have the entire series plotted.
The other is about an ordinary man driven to becoming part of the authoritarian regime he loathes, in order to save his dying daughter. There's politics, fighting and staring in horror as he gradually does worse and worse things – we'd be creating the most sympathetic psychopath since American Psycho.
Some credentials: I'm being published in 215Ink's Anthology with artist Damien Worm, as well as two other anthologies next year, including The Gathering: Dark Anthology. I am also working on a short comic with one of 215Ink's own artists, Allen Byrns (from The Price). I've won awards for my nonfiction writing and have published several short-stories in literary and horror magazines.
If you are interested in working on these projects, which I've outlined and can discuss with you, please send me samples of your work [preferably links] to my email: tauriq.moosa[at]fsi.org.za
In terms of payment, we can either choose a backend scheme or other options. I'm not in a position to pay at the moment and would gladly split profits in your favour, if it came to that.
I would love to develop a creative team, but it would obviously be better if you could draw and letter.
Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from lots of talented people,
Tauriq
